How do I access the OC Register?

Accessing the OC Register at the Orange County Public Library

  1. Apply for an Orange County Public Library (OCPL), full-service card (not eCard*). Skip to Step 2 if you already have an OCPL library card.
  1. Please go to this link and complete the application for a full-service library card:

  1. Once the application has been submitted, please allow one business day for processing.  You will be notified once your library privileges are activated.
     
  1. Access the OC Register from the Orange County Public Library
  1. Go to the OCPL ELIBRARY (https://www.ocpl.org/elibrary#news)
  2. Find the OC Register from the list, then click on the link.
  3. Type in your library card number (if you have a physical card it is on the back side, below the barcode), then click on “Log in”
  4. Look for “America’s News” then look for the “Orange County Register Collection” bullet point, then click on the link

  2. Phone – Contact the branch closest to your location (http://www.ocpl.org/libraries), scroll down for a list of branches and phone numbers.
  3. Web Form – Complete the online form (http://www.ocpl.org/services/about-ocpl/contact-us)

* Patrons can access the eResources Overdrive, Freegal and RBDigital with future eResources to be added. This card type will not allow patrons to checkout physical items, place holds, or use the computers.  No access is available for the OC Register at this time.
