Answer

An Inter-Library Loan (ILL) is the process where one library borrows materials from another library. This is available as a service for IVC students and faculty, where if the IVC Library does not have a particular material, we can request it from a library outside of the South Orange County Community College District system (IVC Library and Saddleback Library) and have it delivered to us. Keep in mind that the processing time for Inter-Library Loans make take up to two weeks or longer depending on the item requested.

To make an ILL request, please complete our ILL form

To request items from the Saddleback Library, please search for the item in the library catalog, then click on Place a Hold to have the book delivered to the IVC Library.  The processing time is typically two business days.
